I think you will find its a bit of both:)0 -

In relation to outright lying, I work with people (not all) who [2] attempt to manipulate the truth for many different reasons, often a combination of emotional vulnerability and attempts to manipulate/control to achieve a desired outcome ...[3] I have come to the conclusion everything is in the grey area, and black and white no longer exists.
But I still have aspiration!
[1] :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh, I'm so sorry for laughing, but it is funny. Sometimes you have to laugh (much later on) at the struggles that had to be overcome way back when.
[2] There's people who do know how to do very little and constantly to shout about what they are (supposedly, but in fact not) doing and take the credit from other's hard work. These people, yet again, yes you've guessed, do get promoted/recognised by our society. Sadly I just sit there, in the background, quietly getting on with work and not having the ability to go round drawing constant attention to my work and communicating my great worth.
[3] Oh - so you've had a long train of thought over time, only finally to come to a conclusion about the matter! Just like me. Is there - and this isn't intended to be offensive and I'm sure it won't be taken to be (why :mad::( did I feel the need to add this last part?) - a little bit of Asperger's in yourself in this respect, especially as your son has it and it's a bit genetic? Not offence - if you have it, in my view it's a great advantage in quite a lot of respects!! Wishing you do - good luck!!:rotfl::rotfl::D:D:T:T:j:j
I am a lucky Jack myself!:j0 -

Thanks, Savvybuyer, for your recent posts. I don't know the full context to the discussion as I've been away for a while and am only just catching up, but your posts have been illuminating and thought-provoking. (And 'prosody' was a vivid reminder of linguistics lessons many moons ago:))
I would like to think that there is space and a suitable atmosphere on here to discuss such non-money-saving topics.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Having a nice evening, watched Strictly and Atlantis, and now catching up with Under the Dome. When that finishes, off to bed as up early tomorrow to go to Ideal Home Show with Steve & Andy :j :j
So I will say goodnight now .................. goodnight
Have a lovely time tomorrow 3Dogs, say Hi to Steve and Andy from me.
Goody bags are free this year, right at the back of the ground floor right side. Me and Dodo got bar of Bailey's chocolate in ours but DD2 said they didn't today but she didn't pick one up until nearly the end of the day. Think she still got the other bits.0 -
