[Edit: just skip this post - I've been bothering myself unnecessarily. Although rest assured it wasn't bothering me to an undue extent, I've learned to relax somewhat since I did that over other things some years ago.]

Well, if only I hadn't gone to do the shopping!:(:( I should have touched wood far more the other night - involved in a minor car accident in the car park. You know (or maybe you don't) how much I bother myself about these things - have I got the insurance, does it cover from the previous day if the previous policy only covered till midday on that day - have I informed them of obviously every minor scratch ever caused to the vehicle in any way, just a compulsive true-teller that just cannot lie to save oneself and has to comply with every rule no matter how minor, now Googling about whether I have to report to the police etc. And..after all that - it being a damage collision (damage to both) and I've given my name and address, etc., and all I was required to do, it looks like I've complied with every aspect of road traffic law but, yet again, I've gone to the detail and found the other driver is the one who I've 'caught out' as they gave their name and phone number but didn't give me their address. So, having bothered myself, they're now technically the only party under an obligation, in theory, to report the accident to the police as soon as possible. No one else except me would be worrying myself about this!

I'm sure these minor technical details are not even known to or even noticed by almost everyone else and that they don't need to bother with them and, if it'd been between two normal people, they'd never have been any worry. Does everyone always on every occasion comply with traffic lights, report every minor thing no matter how insignificant to insurance companies and bother with every technical and detailed theoretical legal requirement on every occasion?? I doubt anyone else really does this, so I needn't worry! I'm liable to be the one to end up being unable to get insurance cover at all if I continue being totally honest this way. I just can't help it!! Relatives of all kinds are just floored by how honest I am.

I think I need to take a more pragmatic view. (If the issue is raised, and I think it's very unlikely it will be, about whether I complied with every part of the reporting requirements, I can always then mention I was never given their address and therefore that they didn't comply with section 170(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and were thus under an obligation to report the accident under section 170(3).):rotfl:

Society doesn't realise just how much its rules that it requires us to comply with and in theory we are supposed to comply with, how much I cut myself up about them sometimes when really I ought not to bother or worry that much. Phew, I think I'm okay!

Hope you are ok savvy and everything gets sorted out. :)

I know nothing about driving and traffic laws.

I am like you have to tell the truth when I worked in kitchen with  bullying area manager the kitchen staff used to say they couldn't believe how honest I was. If something went wrong in the kitchen and cook said who did it. If it was me I owned up even if it meant getting into bother :rotfl:

There's nothing I can say Savvy, [2] hope you feel better for getting it off your chest. I'll just send you a [3] (totally useless to you :D) virtual hug instead:p :)

    [1] You're absolutely right!:T

[2] I think that's all my post did. (Why did I feel compelled to mention it on here or to post about it??!?*)

[3] The piece of wood collapses:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (joking, and therefore laughing about that).

:rotfl::rotfl:(Now I'm laughing about your saying "totally useless to [me]" - for that reason!:rotfl::D)

:rotfl:A laugh at your sticking out your tongue!

    * I think the answer is:

    Altogether now...

[1] I wish I knew nothing, particularly about the latter!:D Ignorance would be bliss:rotfl::rotfl:.

[2] Yeah, but I suspect even you weren't a patch on me - it's somewhat even more 'difficult'(?)/profound(?) for someone with Asperger's. "I have a problem in that I tell the truth":rotfl::rotfl:. (Should never be a problem really.) I'm not claiming, or intending to claim, any 'holier-than-thou' thing in all this - it's just the condition!:D:rotfl::j:D:rotfl::rotfl:

I think Whitchurch has finished now, not been for the last couple of weeks. I go to Easter Compton on a Sunday, 'cos if you get there around 6.30am you can go inside. It gets quite busy as it's all year round and as there's indoor stalls, you always get peeps coming. Hope to see you there, just look for the stall selling glitchy items. ;):D
thanks for the info , I usually work sundays so probably wont see you there xx

    I can believe it.

Aw-don't get me on to drivers or the numerous things I see every day - becoming a bit of an obsession for me more lately: I could write for hours and hours on it:eek:.

I'm in on my own this evening :j

Is it bad that I'm tempted to order double what I want to eat so that they'll deliver? They've got a minimum delivery of £15

It makes total sense to me!

    Get the order made

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Edit - caught up and realised my post is out of date!

Ohh...you know how I keep a log and carry some receipts over to claims in the following month (and then have to delay [Strike]entering[/Strike] claiming on other receipts that month to carry over to the next., etc etc...). Nightmare!:rotfl::rotfl:
