Was just first reference I found after googling Basa Mrs B. I have no idea how true it is. I get fresh fish from my fisherman friend so do not buy much from the supermarket so I am no expert.

Best go and finish my game of tetris in the bottom of my larder. Adding my new stock of beans and pasta. Found rather a lot of those 19p lasagne sheets dated May 2013. Forgot all about those, thought the carboard box only had wholewheat pasta in. Oops.

I think they'll be ok Tiny. Most of the time, manufacturers try to protect themselves by giving short use by dates. I would still use them.

Firstly, please do not think I'm having a go. I'm not, the exact opposite actually.
The fact that it was the first thing you found just shows how widespread this misinformation is, and how quickly and widely things are spread. The world and his wife were forwarding this email on without stopping to ask themselves where the writer got their information and if it was true. It's something we can see daily on the web. Unless something is backed up with references it's likely just opinion.
