I tried downloading chrome but it said I couldn't download it with my browser.
The laptop has been reset back to factory settings by seller so it only has xp pro serv pack 1.
I have just found an original copy of xp service pack 2 which says it is compatible with xp home editon, professional, pc tablet etc.
Is it just a case of starting the laptop, inserting the disc and letting it do its thing?
Will I need the key from the bottom of the laptop when I install the service pack 2?
Don't you already have the XP SP3 disc for the laptop? I thought we'd already been over this.0 -
you should be able to upgrade your IE browser from the Microsoft website. better still, it sounds like you need to launch windows update.
I believe for the current setup of your laptop you have to do this through internet explorer, under the tools menu.
Alternatively here is a link for manual download of XP SP3:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?id=24
your operating system is so old it will struggle on the net before you take this action to update the OS.
Hope this helps!Friendly greeting!0 -
