Can job seeking be defined by travelling to employers and speaking to them face to face, eg walking into a shop and asking about jobs? That might be productive but impossible to prove.

Get managers name etc and a list of dates and times you were there or proof of travel.

That's probably one of the required job seeking activities on quite a few people's JSAg's. (Visit an employer so many times per week)

There is always going to be unemployment.
Of course there will - full employment cannot exist. The moment everyone is employed there are no new workers and no company can ever expand therefore they either implode or pay more wages. And when they pay more wages people leave the succesfull company for better wages and it starts to fold. Once it folds it creats unemployment and the new companies can't recreate the success of the old. So full employment kills the economy...

they dont ask for that though. i currently fill 1 and a third of their diary sheets now. if i had to write down every employer i had handed a cv to on these trips i would need several more sheets. most of the time now they dont bother even looking at my second sheet.

50% of the time I don't think they don't bother looking at my booklet at all. I could be wrong but usually they put their signature next to my last entry in the booklet, lately there hasn't been one.

Next time I sign on I've got 3 full booklets for them to ignore :D

they never sign mine. they just say have you got your evidence. i hand them the 2 booklets and they have a quick look through one of them and then hand them back. to be fair they probably realise its a waste of time and just need to appear to be doing what is required of them.

I was tricked into using the site, I just list my job search stuff on there.

    I find it easier tbh.
  • Can't believe people moaning about having to do 35 hours job searching and how it's not possible. Those that want work would want to spend that much time or more ensuring they find it.
