    Dad's are a pain!

Last year I made my Dad a cheese and crackers hamper from The selection at Aldi and I got him some really nice cheese knives from there to, stuff it in a basket with shredded paper and wrapped in cellophane with a big bow.

No idea what to do him this year, but I was thinking about getting someone to design his blog for him and give him like a webinar on how to get the most out of it. He is a Historian and published author now! *Proud Daughter!* and wants to start a blog.

I am wondering whether I can A) afford it & B) Find someone to do it....

I've just bought mine a woolly hat and a history of football cd for his van....He's just so difficult.
I bought him the complete James Bond dvd box set last year and now I can't think of anything better.

I usually make my stepdad up a hamper of whisky and sweets but he is on restrictions due to a heart attack last summer so I have to get creative..

I've mentioned this a few times on here. This has saved money since buying it earlier this year and every bloke I know who uses this type of blade to shave moans about the cost.

  • My dads pretty awkward to buy for and his birthdays the 29th of December! What I usually do is get him DVDs, he works a lot ad doesn't have time to go to the cinema much. He really likes James Bond and thrillers so I keep an eye on the latest releases and save them to my wish list until they're a good price. I sometimes wrap them up in a little hamper with his favourite beer and chocolate.

  • I found the perfect gift for my dad this year and I am relived because every year I bang my head against a wall trying to think of something.

Photo frames for the wall in which you can put your LPs for display - you can chop and change them whenever you fancy. I got mine from the Works website and ended up getting them for £4 each with codes.

My dad loves LPs and has hundreds - now he can show a few off on his wall.

My sisters & I clubbed together to get my Dad a Kindle. Which (with a lot of girlish giggling) we loaded with books we thought he'd like.
(I then phoned him & asked what was on his to read heap & on his get-around-to-sometime & snaffled them onto the device as well.) £25 per daughter for a man who reads daily & still chuckles at our "bookshelves" for him... Worked for us.
