bit of a time related moan

I'm all for people being the only ones allowed to post comps , i.e itv , magazine comps etc but I'm constantly finding comps that have a finishing time later in the list and I've already missed the deadline ! just think it would be an idea to put finishing times , its not that I dont apprieciate people posting comps :O)
Thanks and good luck to all :T

Hi.I'm a bit confused as to what you mean.

Do you mean the promotors end the comp before the due date/time or comps are not being posted?

I do try to put an end time in the title (5pm) if it ends say before 11:59 on the end date, but I do sometimes forget, sorry

I haven't seen many posts with a closing time of earlier than midnight where the time isn't included in the title. Can you link to some examples?

The easiest way to solve this is to be a day ahead of closing dates, or change from comping by 'date ending' to by 'date posted'.

Some may see it as not correct but I tend to post any that end earlier in the day as ending a day early eg here. & here

That way the enddaters do not miss it.

I always end the Beauty Bible comps the day before because for some reason they end at 7am.

They are on the board for days before they end so you would be better entering them before the last couple of days never mind entering on the last day.

You also run the risk of not being able to enter if there is a system problem near the closing date (has happened).
  • I would firstly like to say - no disrespect to any of the posters of these comps. I am very grateful.

Here is one I just missed - ended at noon.
E: 07/11 Daybreak Win Gifts and Gadgets

I miss a lot of the ITV comps that end at 7:30am because they are posted as ending on that day.

Here is another (RC) ended 07/11 at 12:00am (I am assuming that is midnight on 06/11 because I did get to it before noon ?)
    E: 07/11 Win £30 Amazon Voucher (Rafflecopter)

    Get the familiar
    Contest is
    OVER

Nearly all rafflecopters have ended by the end date posted.

The 'Yours' comps have always ended by the time I get round to them.
