COD Ghosts ps3 keeps crashing.

Help! Got ghosts yesterday and I can't play the blimming thing. I can play campaign fine but anything online like multiplayer just keeps making my ps3 crash then go to a black screen and I have to quit game from the ps button on the controller. It will search for online games and when it goes to load the game in multiplayer the whole ps3 crashes. I can still play black ops 2 multiplayer no problem and dvds are working so it can't be the ps3 and this morning my husband took the disc back thinking it might be faulty and they exchanged it for a new one but still the same problem.
Any ideas anyone as it's the second day and I haven't even seen any maps :mad:

Which PS3 do you have?

My best guess is it's a brand new game so it's going to be glitchy at the start, especially with online play. Look what happened to GTAV!

have you checked any other games to see how there playing? What is your NAT showing as? what ISP/router are you using? is it set to upnp? could be something getting blocked at firewall...

Husband took game to his friend's house this afternoon to test and worked fine at his so came home and tried again and still no luck. He then deleted the game data utility and then he deleted the saved data utility and then put the disc in which reupdated and it worked fine. So it appears the very update had a problem maybe as his friend's ps3 was showing 1.2 version and ours was showing 1.1 until he deleted and reinstalled and is now showing 1.2 and working fine.
