    Yes.

Orange and T-Mobile are the only networks to still charge for Voicemail on SIM only contracts as far as i'm aware.

    Can it be disabled/turned off?

I think Tesco Mobile charges for voicemail (15p a minute).
  • I guess if you turn off voicemail and do not ring 08 numbers it isn't that different to Giff Gaff. The main difference being that T-Mobile charge for verbal customer services and Giff Gaff don't have any. I can imagine this catching lots of people out though.

No, Voicemail is included in your Tesco allowance.
  • so is it worth it? I don't use voicemail that often so not bothered by excess charges.
£5 a month (after the £70 voucher) sounds great. Half what I'm paying on giffgaff. I just hate the thought of being tied into a contract again though.
How long would it take the voucher to come through - I would want to use it to buy a new phone.
  • Two or three short 40p chargeable calls a week would nearly wipe out the savings.
  • Still torn between t-mobile and giffgaff. Probably only receive voicemail a few times a month but that makes a £5 deal a £7 deal - which is still pretty good. My phone should be unlocked as of today - haven't received any notification of that though. I would use the £70 voucher for a hard drive to back up family photos.

I use Hullomail with my SIM only T-mobile plan.
Voicemails go to a different number and listening to vm comes out of inclusive minutes. There is an ad supported Android visual voicemail app too as well as txt and/or email notifications.

Just had a look - its that the free app version? Still seems to get around the 40p pm problem.

How is t-mobile SIM only working out for you?
