In todays email:
Looked great BUT watch for hidden costs
Calls to voice mail 40p a minute
Calls to freephone 0800 etc 40p a minute
Calls to customer service 25.5p a minute :eek:
All chargeable calls subject to a one minute charge
If something is too good to be true it probably is.
Hot Sim-only deals. Match the mins, texts & data to your usage. Get too many & you're paying too much, too few and you risk pricey out-of-bundle costs.
- £11/mth but get FREE £70 Amazon voucher makes it equiv '£5/mth'. T-Mobile* charges £11/mth for 500 mins, unltd texts, 1GB data & unltd London Tube wi-fi access. It's a 12mth contract. Yet we've blagged a corking code, MSESIMO (live Wed - Sun), which means you get a £70 Amazon voucher on top (excludes T-Mobile custs). Factor as cash and it's equivalent to £5/mth all in.

I see the latest T-Mobile exercise to squeeze more money out of customers, is to charge sim only contract customers to call customer services.
Heres the T&C if anybody is interested. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/terms-and-conditions/sim-only/0 -
25.5p a minute?
A small charge (say 10p) might be understandable, but a charge per minute!0 -
Reads like 25.5p a call to me, same as PAYG.0
-
Yes definitely 25.5p a call !! still a rip off for a contract service.0
-
It just shows you what the networks make on their customers when even the MVNOs who have to buy their stuff wholesale from the networks can still undercut (massively in some cases) the networks.
PS I do think those crazy additional charges (40p/min for voicemail retrieval is just laughable really) should be mentioned in Martin's email.0 -
There are several geographic numbers on http://www.saynoto0870.com that'll get you through to customer services.0
-
In that case the free app Weq4u should work as well (and suspend the call until someone answers thereby not using up your minutes).0

So the voicemail isn't included in the plan?
I was going to go with giffgaff until I saw this deal. Might still work out cheaper if I factor in the Amazon voucher (which I will use). Only other difference is that I'm lock in for 12 months - but that might be ok as I'm happy with iPhone 4S and the 6 would be out in a years time.
Is anyone on either t-mobile sim only of giffgaff?0 -
