[Emergency]Harassment : Deadline to make an appeal against the court decision

The first was an injunction in which I was asking to not allow the other tenants (claimant inclusive) to not be allow to enter into the property without my consent.
Then at the court hearing, I have been asked to make a claim under harassment act 1997.
There is a good chance that the claimant has include in his defence that his girlfriend is pregnant (this is noticeable just since few weeks after the court hearing) but that should not justify why i should pay him £200.
I take it they are tenants on an equal footing to you? I would take a dim view of your initial application if I were the judge. Not sure how you worded the harassment claim but that probably did not go down well either.0 -
Have you issued a written warning of harassment or requested the police inform the other party to desist harassment.
If not you are just throwing good money after bad.
It only becomes criminal harassment once they ignore a demand to stop the behavoiur causing you alarm or distress.Be happy...;)0 -
I have to say though: while it is alright for me to say do this or that; I do not know the full facts nor the history of your case and am therefore not in a position to advise you as to the correct procedure. I am only going by what is said on this thread. I would strongly advise you to take yourself to a solicitor tomorrow - if you have not already done so.
I think I will do this next week (when i find the money) after I send the application set aside the order.
Since the court gave 7 days to set aside the order, tomorrow is normally the deadline and I will have to provide several documents. In addition, I previously tried to find a solicitor without success since they were all asking around £1000.0 -
Have you confirmed with them that the deadline is tomorrow?0

If you have issued a vexatious claim, unless you have taken on board the points I have mentioned you may be better cutting your losses now.
This is a money saving forum and if the N244 fails you will be paying even more out in court and defendants solicitors costs.
what did you do to inform the other party they were causing harassment and how can you prove this in a court, hear say is not good enough.
If the other side counter claims, you may end up right in it.Be happy...;)0 -
No! After your reply I think the appeal route is not advisable, and you would need a stay for an appeal. I think you would need a set aside. It's fine though, you can send the form to them once you have filled it in with the set aside application.
Anyway, I will send a last email just to cover myself (saying that I am sorry for the disagreement that is due to my confusion in the court procedure and that definitively I wish to make an application to set aside the order as the threatening and intimidating acts are still on-going.0 -
spacey if I get the OP right I think this is a civil tort of harassment. OP, my last word tonight is: get yourself represented! I am not sure you are going about this the right way..0

Yes, I did it on several occasions. I even sent email to landlord to ask his tenant to stop his harassment in vain.0 -
