Scamming phone call - PC

I play the DOB card (Deaf Old B___r)
But only if I have the time to take the P***.
EG- pretending to hear 'computer' as 'hooter'. Then answering any question/statement about Windows by informing them proudly that my window cleaner has just been and my windows are nice and clean. I have in the past reduced them to a gibbering wreck, marvelous entertainment. I have not had a call for ages now, I really miss them...I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Here is a video of exactly how these scammers operate - http://youtu.be/8a_edowfgl8
It was recorded by a PC security expert who played along and allowed them to take control of his (virtual) PC. It boils down to a simple con to extort money out of you. Mostly they are not interested in installing malware or anything of that nature, they just want the money for their "warranty".0 -
Confuse them by saying your computer runs windows 8 and you don't have a start button0

That's why you don't answer it - let it go to the answer machine; if it is a genuine call you can pick it up - if it is a cold call they ALWAYS hang up at this point - not exactly rocket science

Also your expecting everyone not to answer their phones to recall back? you are going backwards in time not forwards. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

.........everyone seems to have hundreds of pounds to buy the latest iPhone99 - so a £30 answer machine to stop ALL wasted time to answer cold calls seems quite a bargain...............0 -

I had a call from 'Microsoft', last week (and so did my sister so it looks like they are 'in our area)' , but told them to stop wasting my time with their scams, because I was in the middle of something, but, if they call again, I really want to wind them up... starting with ' Which computer should I use?', 'Do I plug it in ?', 'How do I start it up?'. What fun.0

so you're expecting everybody to leave a message as well, instead of thinking 'oh, they're not in I'll try later'.0
