I don't disagree with any of that, the part I disagreed with was the part you left out of your quote. If you meant to say that flights to London from the regions are few compared to the number of flights to London from everywehere else in the world then that's clearly correct.

we're already using the hand luggage allowance making it rather difficult to manage two small kids...

let's not forget the main point of my post and whether or not you're using your hand luggage allowance - it doesn't get away from the fact that BA's booking system regarding hold luggage for multiple passengers under one booking is not as flexible as that of Ryanair and Easyjet

That's a very fair and relevant point.
  • As the article shows, sometimes BA can be cheaper than the low cost airlines. But from my experience this is only likely to happen if you are booking in advance.

I regularly fly to Spain for work, generally booking my flights between 2-4 weeks beforehand and unfortunately BA are never cheaper. The only exception I found was once over July & August.

I say 'unfortunately' never cheaper because I have the BA Executive card and it would be great to get the extra miles! I also think the BA seats are more comfortable and of course the snack and drink is always welcome, but other than that I think Easyjet offer a pretty good service.
