Do not know what time they started today but got home to my terrified 7 (6 cats and a dog).

Where I live, they go on for absolute agesssss

A lot of firework problems are caused by owners stirring the issue.
Ignore the fireworks and the dogs reaction from day one and they soon learn there is nothing to be afraid of.
    Be happy...;)

My cat's barely been out from behind the sofa since friday. He pretty much just comes out to go to bed. Hope the fireworks stop soon.

Lots of barking going on here at the moment.
He keeps running to the window to look out.

Thoughts on letting him outside so he can see what he is barking at?

Our two Westies love the noise and bark for me to let them out. They then stand barking with their tails wagging and getting really excited.

The funny thing is though they do not like thunder and lightening and cry and come running to me when they hear it.

Logan has been really fine, we've been out walking the last few nights as some were going off, kept him on lead just to be sure though.

Tonight it's been very loud but he has been okay, been out the garden playing with his ball.

He has been tested with the starter gun at training though so the noise itself doesn't bother him.

Just took Zara out for her late pee - some idiot started shooting fireworks very close, on the estate where we live. Zara nearly killed me running like a bunny (back legs at the front of her head if you can imagine a GS doing that) back home.....

I am all for celebration etc but there is a time and a place for those - not anytime anywhere.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was just one night but this year they started on Monday and probably right through to Sunday as in past years some people save them up for weekend

My boy is a westie/bichon mix and the bravest dog in the world :)

Like yours he loves telling off all the folk who let off fireworks when they are noisy.

He also barks at the thunder and lightning, saying that it's taking a liberty.
