    Hi theverylast,

Your chicks look gorgeous! I've merged your thread with the current thread on rearing chicks to keep all the replies together.

Good evening. Sadly the weak chick didn't pull through. We put her under the heat lamp this morning, and she fluffed up nicely, but never really got moving, and died in the early afternoon. The children will bury her tomorrow.

So we have 2 beautiful chicks now. That's not enough, especially if they turn out to be boys, so we've arranged to collect some young chicks (less than a week old, and ready-sexed) from the same supplier next week.

DS filmed them on video on his phone, with cheeping. Can I share that, and if so, anyone know how?

    Thanks, Penny. x

    Hi Penny!

have just come from thriftladys wartime thread to check what the latest was here - awwww so sorry to hear about 3rd chick.

BUT the other chick pictures are really good though - they are gonna be mighty fine looking birds! That guy where you get the eggs from is obviously a good supplier of good looking chicks!

How many eggs are left to possibly hatch now?

and I cant believe youre gonna buy a piglet!!! theres no stopping you is there!:rotfl:

re the video clip - you could try putting it on youtube? I got hooked on there earlier by a link from martins email to the japanese human tetris game!!

DH says maybe downloading from the phone to the computer and then doing a link to it?

    Hi Penny,

I'd love to see the video...like shez says, youtube is probably the best way to go, but I'm afraid I haven't a clue how to do it.

I'm so sorry that the little one didn't pull through. The other two look fantastic though! You must be exhausted after two nights of midwifery!

    Penny,

I think you can post video on Photobucket, as you would with ordinary photos, and then copy and paste the IMG code.

    Beautiful chicks. Congratulations.

Hi, all! Not updated for a few days, so thought I'd share some pics from Lincolnshire show.

This is a fully grown Light Sussex hen - what ours will grow into. There was a mighty fine cockerell, too, but he sustained an injury before I could get a pic. He was bleeding everywhere, so was taken away fro treatment.
