Chick Flick!

How cute are they????????
We have a lolloping great dog (see avatar) who would see chooks as dinner so can't even think about it at the moment.
When we lose Harley (hopefully not for a long time) I'm going to rehome some ex-battery hens & try to give them a few months or years of comfort to try & make up a little for their dreadful start.0 -
Awwww the picture and film are soo cute cheep cheepit costs nothing to smile:D0

Morning - mislaid my camera - found it now so have some new photos.
We got some more chicks on Thursday - asked for 6, the receipt says 6, the box was labelled with 6, but we can definitely count 7 :j :j We've asked for 5 girls and a boy, so will see what we end up with. No idea what the 2 we hatched are, yet.
You can just see the adult feathers starting to form here:
Can you spot all 9?

They're a bit bigger now

This is Darcy. He's very aloof, but very friendly to humans (he thinks he's a human  )
The girls are much more skittish, and wouldn't stand still. They all ran inside when they saw me coming. This is Mouse - she has some identity issues, too, but is extremely stylish :T
Will post pics of the others when they're more willing to have photos.
