I can't remembewr the last time I saw a hen and her chicks scratching and mooching around, just having a good time. It has to be one of the sights guaranteed to lift the spirits.
I once heard a rustle in a hedge and had a peep. It was a mummy partridge and her chicks, mooching about and having a good time. Wonderful!0 -
