Ollibeak, how could you:eek: :eek: Penny knows I'd never boil an egg on the point of hatching, no yolk left for my soldiers:rotfl: :rotfl: I sweated blood the last time *we* were hatching didn't I Penny?;) Mouse is named for me, and a more lovely, elegant hen you'd be hard pushed to find:rolleyes: Penny has photos if you need proof:D

so sorry, Churchmouse I just coulnd't resist! Once you'd mentioned boiling water, that was it - I just went into tucks of laughter :rolleyes: . Just had this vision of you in midwife's uniform - but with a saucepan in one hand!!

What a day. I was on "chick watch" yesterday morning, and couldn't tear myself away, so DH and I went for a bike ride (and 2 pints of shandy at half way :beer: ) to take our minds off things. Got back to find 2 more eggs had cracked, but no chicks. Went to bed with no further developments.

When we woke (at 4:30 :rolleyes: ) there was 1 chick :j and a second has jsut this minute hatched :j :j

Photos along soon, once they've dried out a bit and I can open the incubator.
