Thanks for the reply - no benefits I make decent money not that it makes a difference.0 -
My family don't want anything to do with me and I honestly don't have anything to do with anyone outside of work.0

As an ex heavy gambler, I know how gambling can destroy lives, but the only course of action for you now, is to stop gambling or you will end up on the streets or worse.
1/ Stop gambling.
2/ Contact the Samaritans now if you feel like you are going to do anything stupid.
3/ Go to the doctors first thing in the morning and just let out, about your addiction.
4/ Hopefully the doctor, will sign you off work and that will cover you.
5/ Contact GA or Gamcare.
6/ Your debt is unmanageable, so contact Payplan or Stepchange and get advice from them.
6/ Start getting your life back.
It sounds like, you are just looking to get another loan, you won't pay back, just to get you past the next week, but unless you stop the gambling though, you are going to get nowhere.
Good luck.0 -
What he said. That's the best advice you will get.0

Hi, it's ok. Today was ok. Wrote a lot of things down. Not sure how any of it is going to turn out though. But better.0

Ultimately you have an illness, which many won't understand unless they are a gambling addict to.
It is curable or at least manageable, but you need professional help.
I was lucky and as bad as it got for me, was getting into heavy debt. For 20 years, I was one step away from at least having to go into a debt management programme.
I stupidly, let it get in the way of my job and risked my job for gambling, several times.
My pluses, I had a decent job, which meant I could service the debt, even if it was minimal payments etc..I was also lucky and had a roof over my head, with family, who would never dream of kicking me out, even if I couldn't afford to give them full rent.
How did I stop, or at least control it, well I just decided at 38, I was going to and while I still gamble it's controlled and the debt completely gone.
In a way, you are lucky, you still have a job and a roof over your head and therefore if you get help with the gambling and with the debt, you can eventually be debt free and live a better life. but you need to seek help and there is no shame in that.0 -
