Thanks for the reply worried. Literally don't have the bus fare!0

So no neighbours who you get on well with would help you out whether money or a lift ?0
-
What about Provident / Shopacheck? It might not help immediately but you might be able to get to work in a couple of days.0

I've been living in this place for about 3 months and haven't spoken to any of the neighbours. I'm not sure if that sounds weird, it probably does.0

Do you know if they do credit checks worried? I had a debt with Provident about 3 years ago which I remember I had a problem with but it got paid back eventually.
I don't think I can come up with another excuse for my manager. This feels like the point where everything is going to come to a head - I've pushed it too far already.0 -
It might be worth coming clean with your manager rather than coming up with an excuse. Given your discharged bankruptcy and your ongoing financial problems it might be time to seek professional debt advice to regain control of your situation.Getting married 02.08.14

The thought of doing that is overwhelming0

Of seeking debt advice? I'm pleased to hear it. Make sure you go to a charity, not some blood sucking soul destroying money grabbers!Getting married 02.08.14

No, sorry, I mean telling my line manager. It's something I've kept secret for a long long time and nobody knows about it. I can't bear the thought of telling him and I have no idea what would happen after that. I don't think I can do it.0

You might not have to tell him the full story, just the essentials. I know you've already sorted an advance but your manager might be able to point you toward other support you can get from the business. For example, my union offer crisis loans and debt advice, and the business have a confidential support line that might be able to help with your addiction. Might something like this be available to you?Getting married 02.08.14
