Ah Stooby.
Don't ever lose your innocence.
Unfortunately the world is a big bad place and there are large sections of it that are motivated purely by money.
And who are extremely opportunistic.
I advise joining the Met Police as a Special, or any other big city force, or maybe a large urban based Ambulance service.
Your eyes will be firmly opened up to what actually goes on in this country.
Perhaps seeing it for a long time leads me to think negatively.
But one look at the damage and my mind is made up.
The damage to the Punto was not caused by hitting the plastic bumper cover of the Fiat 500, you can take that to the bank.0 -

100% agree with this. It's impossible for the 500 to have caused it & insurance co's are very interested in fraudulent claimsAlways try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

It does look like the Punto driver is trying it on, but it doesn't matter how big or small the claim is, it will still be against the driver of the red car.
Looking closely at the damage to the green car, just suppose the point of impact was on the bumper, where there is a scuff, and the bumper was pushed up with enough force to push the plastic headlight cover into the wing/bonnet (which are probably made from recycled coke cans anyway
) and buckle them before breaking... There's no rust on the broken paint around the dented wing, so the damage isn't very old.
Would the insurance company bother investigating it that far? If they did, what damage would they say was caused by the impact? There doesn't appear to be any dispute over the fault. As has been said, the Punto is probably going to be an insurance write-off anyway. Assuming yours sons car doesn't have any damage higher up there's not a cat in hells chance he caused the damage to the wing and bonnet0

looking at the picture I can't see any way the damage to the wing & particularly bonnet could be caused like you suggest0 -
My son was in a accident on Friday it was very minor. He pulled out of a side road turning right and the rear of his car was clipped by a car coming from his right.
I believe the other car had plenty of time to slow down and avoid my sons car.my sons car just a very minor rub on the very bottom of the fear bumper.
Maybe the other driver also misjudged time & space - like your son did when deciding to pull out in to the path of an oncoming motorist.
You can try to deflect blame if you want, or maybe just take responsibility for his mistakes.this is the other car damage to the wing bonnet and broken headlight (there was no glass broken at the scene )
I think the damage to the other car far exceeds any damage my sons car could have caused and was pre existing the other person has told my son thy will be claiming for all the damage to the front of there car.
Do bear in mind front end of cars will crumble in a completely different way to the back end. If you rear end somebody - you can easily write off your car whilst leaving nothing more than some scratches and minor dent to the other.0 -

Might be my poor eyesight, but the damage to the punto seems too high to have hit the scuff near the bottom on the red car. I would've thought the punto's black part would have hit the scuff on the red car?0

Just a thought. Could this be a crash for cash incident??0
