V8 for under a grand.

The Lexus is going to be dead quite. It might drive like a V8 but it won't sound like one inside the car.

I've looked at the V8 75's in the past as well, hoped they might have been cheaper.
With the SD1 and a couple of 827's previously, a 75 V8 would have been ideal.

Halfway-MOTable one is way over a grand these days. I suspect a v8 P6 may even be cheaper - certainly a lot easier to find.

Loved the one I had. Even got a towbar from an owners club member and used it to tow our caravan.

1985 3500 sd1 and a 1983 Lynton 6 berth. In 1985, that setup would have cost thousands.

When I had it (probably around 2005/2006) around £1550.

The beauty of one of these projects is that when the abs/traction control/autobox goes in a sulk, the rest of the car can be broken for more that you paid for the whole thing.
