I'd keep the Trust well out of it for the time being. Establish all your facts first then you can make a fully informed decision on how to make your final approach.

If you involve the Trust now you might get some pressure not to rock the boat 'This won't look good on your staff records'-type of discussion. So leave them out of it for now.
I was told id go on a disciplinary if I didn't pay up....
I replied it was an unenforceable invoice and I wasn't paying anything

    Oh gawd
  • It looks the same as my letter....it claims it will go to count court, and if judgement is accepted it will affect credit rating.

You won't get disciplined on this providing you don't give them details of the driver, they must pursue the registered keeper until they tell them that they were not the driver, there is no legal requirement to name the driver as this is non pofa 2012 ticket.

We have seen lots of hospital threads, almost all don't go further. That is why you need to nip this in the bud right now with that letter to them.

How do they know who was driving? Everything is addressed to your husband as the Registered Keeper, and it is him they are pursuing. Nothing to do with you at this stage, surely, and if it is, why are they harassing your husband?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Part of the defence will be (if it went there) would be I am the registered keeper of the vehicle, and this claim is pursuing the RK despite there being no liability due to the fact I was not the driver.

They say in the RK letter that they don't know who the driver was, and that they have the. RK details from the DVlA. They have asked for the drivers details so they can transfer it. I told my husband to do absolutely nothing, no correspondence with them.

I doubt the boss can be bothered with the paperwork.she let's staff smoke standing next to the flam store for one thing, and won't discipline 3 known bullies. But I guess she has to tell me there is a possibility. But as it's my husband they wrote to, then I cannot be disciplined.

If it does go to disciplinary, take a Union Rep in with you.

Also, I suspect the threat of a disciplinary, amounts to an unlawful threat.
