Xbox One still has a lot of life left in it yet. The PS2 only recently stopped getting made.

Yes, because you kind of wasted your time I'm afraid, the exact same thing had already been discussed, decided on and purchased already
no more a waste of time than it being pointed out to me is or me bothering to respond to this post is. look sometimes people post when the subject has already been dealt with. it happens occasionally. get over it.

The Xbox 360 will come down to well under £100 for a decent hard drive version?

you want the 250gb slim model.. can be picked up for around £100 2nd hand but for not much more you can get it brand new with a bundle of games etc from argos/asda and the like

the 4gb one was aimed at parents really.. to get their kids online as cheap as possible.. 4gb isnt that great storage wise..

i have the older 360 with several hard drives due to running out of space very quickly once it dies ill be getting the 250 slim

Not sure that would happen. The Xbox 360 E was launched earlier this year with no price reduction. It is inferior in spec to the 360 S and the E probably cost Microsoft less to manufacture. If the price was going to fall it would have happened due to lower cost to make.

Microsoft won't want too big a differential between the One and 360 otherwise people may take a punt on the 360 instead of the more expensive One. I do hope I am wrong as I am after a 360 myself and would be glad to be proved wrong.
