If you're buying one second hand,

Make sure you purchase it from somewhere reputable - and you ensure that it isn't banned from the Xbox live service.

The simple way around this is to buy brand new!!

    Thanks

I have gone for the Argos bundle with Fifa 14, Minecraft, plus 3 months xbox live. However, it wasn't all available for home delivery or pick up!

So I had to order instore and take away the Minecraft and xbox live and have the console and Fifa14 delivered.

But, they couldn't get the last 3 month xbox live voucher to work, so they gave me 12 months worth £35 instead and no charge for the delivery.

Seems a decent outcome for £159.99 all in with a £10 gift voucher.

Looks like you got a decent deal, even better you got a 12 month Xbox Live sub instead of the 3 months.

1 tip whatever you do don't add a credit/ debit card to the Xbox account, buy the Live subscriptions from the internet eg Game.

You got a very good deal there.

Are you sure it's definitely the Xbox 360 they wanted and not the Xbox One? like a poster said all there friends might be trading in their 360's for Xbox One..

They just wanted an Xbox. They are 10 and 7 so not quite at the age where they are too fussed as long as they can play minecraft and the like.

I am sure the Xbox one will hit the agenda down the line, by which time it might be alot more reasonable on price!!

I think it's still a good idea - aside from fulfilling the requirement to play Minecraft, the 360 is far cheaper to buy and it has a huge library of games many of which can be picked up very cheap.

i personally wouldnt go for a second hand console. i've seen an argos ad on tv for a xbox 360 for £160. i think it includes the latest fifa game and minecraft. there maybe better offers elsewhere though so shop around.

Yes, because you kind of wasted your time I'm afraid, the exact same thing had already been discussed, decided on and purchased already
