Hi
I am an Xbox novice. My two boys currently have a wii and PC's and want an Xbox for Xmas to play Minecraft and the like.
However, with no knowledge of it, I am a bit confused by the various different versions!
I was looking a perhaps getting a pre-owned console with a warranty from somewhere reputable, such as Game.
But I have no idea which model would be the best one. I suspect the kids will at some stage want to join friends on it via the web.
Can someone give me a duffers guide, so I know which models to look out for and maybe which to avoid??

If pre owned id go for 1 of the consoles with the 250GB hard drive, i hjave the 120GB console and im close to running out of hard drive capacity. Xbox 360 S might be 1 to consider. Avoid the white ones so you dont end up having to take it back for a replacement.
You sure your kids friends do have a 360 or will have 1 come xmas with the new Xbox and PS4 out later this month. What I mean is you dont want to buy a 360 if all the friends will be getting a PS4 or the Xbox One ( I believe you can communicate but not join in game ). If possible get 1 on a credit card in the eventuality GAME goes from the high street.
Game have the 4GB black for £99 which isnt too bad, might have a bundle in store.0 -
Yeah, I'd go for the Xbox 360 S 250gb. I had one and it was really nice!
Once the Xbox One is out you'll be able to pick one up for not much money.0 -
You can pick up a Xbox 360 250gb with Fifa 14, Minecraft and 3 months live subscription for £159.99 which is pretty good.

Feel free to elaborate.0 -
I think the main thing is they want to play Minecraft on it so it's not so much a case of which console is better, just which version of the Xbox for me to look for.0

So where this one says 4gb? Am I right in thinking that's pretty poor?

Yes, it's poor, you cannot download DLC.0 -
Thanks
So the Argos bundle looks decent value for a new one and they are doing a free £10 voucher for over £100 spend.0
