I will look into this "flipping" when I have more time...
So what is the good information about flipping?
It is a term, almost never used in the UK and means exactly the same as dropshipping anyway.
What is your personal vendetta against dropshipping anyway? The majority (sorry vast majority) replying on this thread have no problem with it and probably everyone who buys online has had an item 'dropshipped' to them at some point.
You still have not answered why you think dropshipping is a scam, why it is illegal and why it is a rip off.
Probably never will answer because you have no facts to back it up.
I have no problem with your ethics or morals with dropshipping but, this thread has helped no-one because (as i have stated before) unless you prior knowledge of the seller, you will never know.
Just to add, the first time i found out about dropshipping was when i ordered a radiator online from a company in Plymouth.
The radiator was delivered from a Plumb Centre branch, 1 mile away and came with all their wrapping and logos all over it.
Did i care......NO
WHY?
Because it was £25 cheaper than what i would have to pay had i gone to the Plumb Centre direct.
Dropshipping is not bad infact, it can be useful.
Get over it!Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -

I buy a lot of stuff online, and have fallen foul of this once. Personally when I received the Amazon package and checked the Amazon price, I chuckled to myself and reminded myself to check in future. I don't see it is a biggie, and don't see why people get really worked up about it. I consider myself fairly savvy, but don't expect that I get it right every single time.0 -
I'm assuming I'm not the only one to have had this happened in reverse. I bought an item on Ebay for a gift and received from Amazon, the reverse part was that the item cost the seller more. It was listed on Amazon (and invoiced) at around £4 more than I paid.
Presumably the seller ran out or had stock at Amazon warehouse and wanted to keep decent Ebay feedback so fulfilled the order.
I presume that perceiving the seller to have lost money is a good thing as far as this thread goes?.0 -

I think you've kind of hit the nail on the head there when you say it's not a biggie. It isn't but you've also indicated that you felt ever so slightly "caught" and I think that's the issue. Many people just don't feel comfortable with this kind of selling.0 -

I don't think I felt particularly 'caught', more amused. And to me, as I guess you are agreeing, for me it comes under the 'small stuff' of 'Don't sweat the small stuff'. I can't see why someone would get worked up about it.
I paid a reasonable price, and I received the item I paid for. There are far worse outcomes in ebay sales than that one.0 -

I agree. It is wee buns as we used to say. I wouldn't be happy with it but wouldn't rant and rave about it - and I'd be more careful in future.
I still maintain there should be a notification on the sellers site when this type of sale is being promoted.0
