What does the ebay user agreement have to do with UK law???
Because the data protection act allows you to pass on someone's details if doing so is part of a contract or agreement.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Nothing in the Ebay user agreement, unless you can find something I missed.0 -
The Data Protection Act of 1998 means that you can only process the collected information within the constraints that it is collected under. For dropshipping, this would be necessary for the performance of a legally binding contract, which also infers the consent of the individual who is providing such details.0

What does ebay or Amazons data protection policy state then?ballisticbrian wrote: »Word is back on the data protection act. If the buyer is the consumer, and the seller does not specifically state in his terms and conditions that he is passing the name and address on to a third party for the purposes of processing the order then he is in breach of the Data Protection Act 1998. So you can draw your own conclusions as to whether this seller is breaking the law or not and not simply take my word for it.
There is a hell of a lot of people (000's if not 100,000's) breaking the law then!
Better get on to the governing bodies then, and save us all from this scurge on society.
Get off your high horse and smell the roses.
It is not a scam, not a rip off and fools like you get the hump when no-one agrees with you. You (and the others on your link) are only getting annoyed with yourselves for being foolish and paying more than you could have.Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -

I worry that you'll pass on our questions to a third party, thus breaking any number of pretend laws."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
