    Hi all,

Not been posting much lately - hugs to all that need them x

Have had the week off, just chilled and caught up with domestic duties that have slipped.

Also used my time to try and save some money.

Home and contents insurance due, renewal quote £464.75 - quick look around the internet and got a equal cover quite for £289.01 and £40 cash back via quidco - over £200 saved :)

Car insurance due December, currently pay £350 pa and have a quote for £170 - will wait to get renewal docs then try and get it cheaper via quidco again - but looking good so far :)

Bought most of my xmas prezzies, just DS2 to buy for, no idea what to get him, and he said he doesn,t need anything - think I will get him eggbox live for 12 months, and some money for clothes. Will get some bits for the kids, but will not be doing the normal 'chuck money at it' xmas

Need to get something for my mother's birthday she,s 70 xmas eve - the trouble is we don,t really have any contact, and i,m skint - do you think a nice framed picci of the kids and a small champagne hamper is a good idea? DB has bought her a bloomin Kitchen Aid, and had the cheek to ask me to pay half without consulting me  - after your advice I told him I already had something (white lie, but needed)

October grocery shopping came in just under £250 for 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 greedy cats - very chuffed with myself

Anyway enough waffle - enjoy your weekend all x
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Julie - Glad your feeling a bit better x
IM - Yes something like that would be nice, posh truffles (HM) ?

Cleaning done, horrible rain here atm got to meet Dad 1/2way to collect DD1 at 1pm then home to tidy this ol' house....i am not doing it at the w/end. This weekend will consist of watching Rugby (Josh Charnley in particular ahem), crochet and generally chilling ;)

SC/Tru - I've always wanted to make crochet poppies but have never got round to it :o

Hi Chums, been offline for a week as my computer caught a bad virus and it completely totalled my hard drive.I sound knowledgable don't :) I but its not me, its the 'puter man who told me.

I have lost all of my photo's and email addresses plus all the data from my machine Grrr I am so not a happy bunny. But he's cleaned it all up and now I have to start all over again.5 years of stuff just vanished.I had a lovely file full of recipes that have gone for a burton as well plus all of my Uni essays. He said that there is a nasty bug floating around that can be picked up via Facebook !!! and he has had to 'scrub' around 12 computers in the past month at least from this blooming thing.
So its back to the drawing board and all my numerous files of family history.I'm sad about the photos though as some are irreplaceable. Why on earth do people put stuff like this on the net.It doesn't make them richer or improve their life in anyway Grrr...
Never mind rant over I am back amongst you once again and no doubt will return to my normal 'sunny self' eventually
Hope you have all had a peaceful week, I have been up to my eyes in grandchildren this week as its half term.Had a nice day out yesterday at Hever castle with the boys and my DD and the sun shone and it was warm enough to picnic in the grounds.
Just trying to work out how I can get the font a bit bigger on here as its a bit on the small size
    Cheers chums

Good to see you back, but that's a shame about your photos. I have mine backed up on a dedicated flash drive, so if/when the pc they're on turns up it's toes, I'll still have all my pics, safe and sound.:o

I have Jessie Labrador coming tomorrow, for two nights.:T

    Afternoon all,

Something for me to celebrate, hubby has got another job starting Monday, Not a 'bits and pieces' sort of job, a real full time, get out of the house sort of job. He kept saying he needed a job but didn't do anything about it so one came to him. Good job really as he was beginning to appreciate Jeremy Kyle as good entertainment and his body clock is waaaay out.

Its wet and miserable here, despite that ive had to go down to my GP's surgery. Theres been a mix up with my medication (down to their new system apparently). All is sorted now, or it will be when I pick up my prescription on Monday. Monday I am hoping to have my blood test too. Ive had the form for what seems like forever.

Havent done anything in the house today, didn't do much yesterday. Its really hard when your falling over 2 extra adults and the usual dogs. Oh roll on Monday!

Right, I really need to get on with things as it will be tea time before I know it.

    Have a good evening all,

  • If I disappear for a while it's cos I've been arrested, a couple of months ago hubby ordered a combined heater/light for the green house. We went to collect it, it's so big it hardly fit in the car. I looked at it for a while & said 'you do know this is designed for growing cannabis don't you'. We were going to stop at the local pub for lunch, but decided not to as someone might break into the car to nick the heater. I know he's only bought it to extend the growing season, but he's hung it in the spare bedroom. I await a visit from the police, they are going to be totally flummoxed to see a bedroom full of peppers, tomatoes & carrots!

Judi Good news on hubby's job :T:T

Shopping today and everywhere was heaving, Asda's was almost wiped out of lots of things and Aldi was busier than I have ever seen it :eek: Must be everyone got paid over the last couple of days.

DH was off today and by the time I got back he had done all of the housework :A

I had to pop back down to the doctors and decided to have a mooch around the town.
I was like a frozen popsicle by the time I got back though, I must start wrapping up warmer and wear my hat and gloves when I go out on the big scooter. It is coming to the time of year when I will be more ore less housebound unless DH takes me in the car.

Right best get the dinner on, we are having Macaroni cheese special tonight which is Macaroni cheese with diced onions and slices of pepperoni laid on the top, my lot love it even my DD who is veggie, I just have to do her some without the pepperoni.
