Parking Ticket from Parking Eye

I visited a friend staying in the day Inn and got a ticket a couple of weeks after.
I challenged it saying the signs did not inform there was a 2 hour free parking.
They have responded with lots of case laws in their favour. Please advise if I should pay or not?

Definitely don't pay. That's not plan A, it's not plan B, it's somewhere around plan T.
When your appeal was rejected, you should have been given a POPLA code. Read the stickies on this forum for information on how to win a POPLA appeal with a very high degree of probability (virtually regardless of circumstance).
Oh and those 'case laws' they sent you are highly misleading and just intended to intimidate you and discouraging you from appealing. Don't fall into that trap.0 -
Yes, I was provided with a POPLA ref. no.
How do I go about appealing to POPLA?0 -
Every appeal should contain a small element of points applicable to the appellant's particular case and a number of points that relate to the PPC's deficiencies and, therefore, are quite common in content.
Take a look at post #70 here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4717353
Much of this you will need to use in your appeal, although you will need to adjust it to your own circumstances.
Mitigation doesn't work, so use the points here particularly the no genuine pre-estimate of loss point.
Knock up your first draft and come back on here.
When you have the final "approved" copy, then do it on line and also through the post with a free certificate of posting.0 -
