Parking fine college car park

Please help someone,I parked on my college car park paid the 50p and displayed my ticket.On my return I got slapped with a £90 fine for parking in the staff section of the car park .Ive appealed to Tps parking who have just rejected my appeal do I go to popla they also said I parked on a grass verge or kerb which there is none of at this car park,I definitely parked in a bay and tps only replied 18 days after i first appealed.Should I pay up or not?

    have they sent you a POPLA code, if so appeal as per hundreds of threads regarding a true pre-estimate of loss, contracts etc

    Not always, no. Sometimes the signage is worded in such a way that a PPC doesn't have to prove a loss. Dangerous to rely on one point even though on balance, you are most likely to win MOST cases on 'no genuine pre-estimate of loss'.

    Which is why we include the other paragraphs about 'unclear signage' (even if you can't remember it!) and 'no contract with driver' and 'no contract with landowner which allows TPS to offer parking or pursue charges in their own name as creditor in the courts'...etc. Plus you can say that they didn't consider the appeal you made because the car was NOT parked on a verge or kerb at all.

    You will see the usual paragraphs again and again in the examples, some long and some shorter! :)
