Was that an automatic increase or you asked - requested it ?

For those of you with a barclaycard, what is was the barclaycard credit limit given to you at the beginning ?

and did what did the limit increase to, as years went on?

(and was this subject to you asking? or they increased it automatically ?)
and how many months were these increases done after ?

I recently opened a Hilton Hhonors Platinum Visa which is run by Barclaycard.

The opening limit was £12,000 which I find quite frankly unbelievable. I'm considering suing them for the stress arising from such a high spending limit. Surely this is breaching my human rights?

Warning: some of the above may not be completely serious.

Surely that's their problem and not wiseshark's? Or you just arguing for the sake of arguing?

But surely by arguing, he must, of necessity, take up a contrary position? ;)

Are you charging for this argument or are you arguing in your own time?

Only for this reply. £5 please. ;)
  • Barclaycard tend to give higher limits than most other cards (bar MBNA). I currently have 19.5K available to use but nowhere to put it so was thinking of cancelling.

It was an automatic increase, I never asked for it.
