I've got a small metalic blue Toyota
I've a bright green car at the moment. Easy to find in car parks although I've had people say that it's unlucky (not so far). I've heard that too
What colour of car would you choose if you were changing yours? Black or silver
What colour would you not buy? Anything apart from black or silver (if I were buying from new)
If my DH were treating me to a 4x4, I would like it in silver (or if it were an x3, I would like it in black) fingers crossed it may happen one day
My DH bought his from new, When he come home....
I said "what colour did you order",
he said "white",
"white" I said "why white? not a nice car colour?".
He said "They could deliver a white one fastest as they had lots on reserve in the dealship area for Eastbourne Taxi" !!!!
I said to him, "why couldn't you order a nice colour & wait another week or two",
he said "white was fine".
I then said "why didn't you get the metalic option instead?",
he said "pay extra £££ so people looking from the road can enjoy the colour of my car, are you mad?!?, I can't see the metalic option from inside can I?!?!"

Many years ago I saw some research that showed green cars to be more accident prone. It was thought that they were less easy to see against the surroundings. Perhaps that's why they are thought to be unlucky.
We have an RX-8 PZ in black (needs washing a lot but I didn't like it in the grey), a silver Pug 405 estate (rarely washed and rarely looks dirty) and a yellow Lightweight Land Rover (looks good clean or dirty)0 -
my car is blue, my wifes car is blue. My old car was also blue. If I bought a new one I would have...............dunno but not silver, everyone has silver and it looks like they forgot to paint it.Nothing to see here, move along.0

I am a second hand - bargin end car person too and i normally have a choice of two colours.... white (more often than not) or red.
My first car was white
My current car is red.
My red (fiesta N reg zetec) has been nothing but trouble from a few days after i got it nearly £500 spent on it (it only cost me £800) and it is still not quite right - one of my friends hates red cars and i am beginning to wish i had listened to her.............
If i had a choice - Purple - not just normal purple but sparkley pimp my ride type purpleDebt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0 -
Charcoal grey (and some err...brown bits
)
It's perfect as I just blend into the background and don't get noticed. I never get pulled. Can't think of anything worse than driving a bright yellow car.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
My new style Yaris is like a kind of bright blue.
I've never worn blue clothes or decorated a room in blue, I'm not that keen, but i've had a navy blue car, a pale blue car and now a bright blue car!!
Also because I think silver is too common these days, I hate white, red reminds me of fire engines and parents wouldnt let me have a black car as 'all the marks show up' !!OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
Nato Green, it's the way forwards!
I don't have too much problem finding mine in Tescos car park! :whistle:Women priests. Great. Now there's priests of both sexes I don't listen to - Bill Hicks.0 -
My car is beige. To give it its proper name, it's canvas beige metallic and it's great - you don't see dirt on it. It also has a special treatment on it so it never needs polished. Just put a cap of this special stuff in a bucket of water when you rinse it and dry it - no need to polish. Just what you want when you're lazy.
My son has a black one and it's a nightmare to keep clean.0
