I've been going to Glasgow on alternate weeks over the past few months, and popping into the Sir John Moore on Argyle Street in Glasgow. The first time I went in they had to search for a card, and since then they have had no cards at all (or perhaps they are just saying that), so not been able to use their wifi.
Anyone having similar problems?0 -
Abergavenny had cards but Wifi not working, i reckon about a 90% failure rate from the ones i have tried, hardly something you could rely on if travelling around.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?

No cards and does not appear to be working in any case. Try Bar Budda across the road instead!0

Varsity bars have free wi-fi - http://www.varsitybars.com/ - I've used the one in Reading and found the staff really pleasant.
The Harrison (Harrison St, London - near King's Cross) also does free wi-fi - and it's a very pleasant pub too!latest win: LOTR: Moria - thanks to catz
- I'm moving to Australia in April - will the competitions be any good there?!:rotfl:

I had to describe what wireless internet was to the staff who eventually claimed that they were waiting for cards. They clearly had absolutely no idea what I was on about.0 -
Hi,
I've tried to use the free WIFI in McDonalds, but you need an account with The Cloud. I've just visited their website and can't see hwo to get an account for free, as the only options are to buy a package.
Has anyone sussed this out?0 -

Thanks, but at Guildford McDonalds, it needs a log in and their leaflet shows it needs a login, but doesn't tell you how to get one without subscribing from their website.
