I'm hone ill from work. Hr had a go at me though which made me mad.
I tried to call in an hour before but I was having trouble with my phone and it turned out I was given the wrong number. So I called in 10 mins after the hour (instead of calling at 10,I called at 10:10) but the person was very rude. I couldn't get a word in and she spoke to me in a really patronizing way making me feel small.

  • Good Morning Folks:),

No more NSDs to report since my last post and today definitely won't be, as I have had a spendy already and also do a football bet on a Saturday. I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. I am working for a few hours today:eek:, but will be relaxing after that:).
I have only skimmed through the posts, so hope everyone is well.
Leopardprint, hope you're feeling better soon.
Kerri, I have actually not made pizza since leaving catering college and that wasn't yesterday. To keep any dough round though, start with a round ball shape and use a rolling pin to roll it out, turning the dough every so often if it starts to get out of shape. I hope this helps:).
ETO, thanks once again for the updates:T
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Another NSD here, no idea how many that is and doesn't really matter as I'm skint until payday next week anyway. Only thing purchased today was milk which comes under non counted essentials, ie motion lotion pour moi :rotfl:

Spent an epic 4hrs plus in the garden, went to trim a hedge but although I thought I'd charged the trimmer (cordless, one Less thing for me to worry about :rotfl:) the battery had no charge. Actually worried the battery or trimmer was kaput but charged it a bit while I was doing other stuff and it seems to be ok, phew.

Anyway, turned my attention on trimming a few other bits, which involved shears and saw :eek:and resulted in two trips to the tip with the cuttings. So much for a low maintenance garden eh? But I want to give a lot a good cut back so we don't have so much to do next summer (hoping we have one) still more scope for some trimming but getting there. Not bad since I am in serious pain in the derrière and legs thanks to boot camp yesterday.

Noticed some hairline cracks in the paintwork in the spare room, just above the window. I'd had a fleece on a hanger drying there and I ran out of room, it wasn't a heavy fleece or very wet but do you think that caused it?

Chilling out this evening, list of to-do tomorrow, but tonight I'm eagerly awaiting Doctor Who....it's like Xmas come early :D

And that really wouldn't help, some HR people come across as really judgemental! Hope you feel better soon LPAT. The IBS keeps your immune system down as your body is fighting the gut issue and can't work on fighting infections ( I think that's how it works). Some IBS issues seem to be controlled by diet changes, have you tried giving up wheat or dairy etc...

You are doing really well with the NSD's especially after the trauma of this month, so keep on winning :)

    Hi,Kerri,
In July we had our front room newly plastered, painted and decorated.(First decoration we have done on the house since we moved in 13 years ago ).
On looking at one of the walls the other day,I noticed there was a HUGE hairline crack going down the wall:about 5ft long!!! I was soooo shocked. At first I thought it must be a dodgy plastering job,but looking closer,I don't think it is,I think it is the paint cracking.Talking to a few people about it,the consensus seems to be that it could be caused by the house having got so cold(didn't have heating on for a long time),now that heating is on,the walls expand a little, etc, causing the cracks.Especially exacerbated by the fact that it is an external wall.
Just a few ideas for you.

    Good Morning Folks,

I have got up early to do a little bit of baking and will have a listen to the Radio as I like to do on a Sunday Morning:)
I am visiting my parents later and am also going to consider a visit to the gym, although may be lazy today:o
Kerri, Pizza dough tends to be very difficult to work with at times, so consider using your hands to correct the shape when it starts going wrong with the rolling pin.
Not sure if today is going to be an NSD or not, but will report back later:)

Thanks saver upper for the thoughts about the wall. I think the room was last painted about 4yrs ago. Tbh it's not been terribly cold in this neck of the woods yet and OH does like the heating on  since it's the room I use to try our washing as no tumbler, I do tend to keep the rad on there. Not really a whole lot I can do about it now, can't paint over as it will look obvious so it's just gonna have to stay like that until any more decorating is done. Think I'll stop hanging anything there though just in cae.

red thanks for the pizza advise. Tbh, they might not be winning awards...yet ;) but so long as they taste good and fit in the oven, I'll just call it the artisan look :rotfl:think I'm going to get a couple of silicone baking sheets too, my friend cooks hers on these and I think they'd be more supportive to moving the pizzas into the oven for cooking than foil (and easier to remove) :D

Up early for us here today, no real reason, can feel I'm stiff from the garden yesterday so today is housework indoors day. Wild times eh?

Might watch Doctor Who again too, anyone else see it last night? jeronimo!
