Have to go and so some shopping today and get some petrol as DH has been using my car to go to work but didn't think to fill it (what a surprise!) so no NSD today but today is a planned one as it's market day and need to get some fruit and veg so will top up with others bits I need from SM.

Checking in with NSD #5 for yesterday and declaring NSD #6 for today even though it's early still. I am at home with a terrible cold and cough so even though I may have to do the school run unless a lovely friend helps me out, I won't be going anywhere other than there and back. It's a really nasty bug that has knocked me for six. Hoping that the children don't catch it, DH has already had it.
So target achieved for this month, wish it was for more pleasant reasons though! Going to have a look in my diary now and see if I can't up my target for the rest of the month.CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Thanks for the good thoughts E.T.O.
Good news is that I've been doing much better since Saturday. Time is, as they say, a good healer, and I've had a lot of support and encouragement from friends and family which has helped a lot. As well as all the well wishes I've had on here since my accident.
On Sunday night, a friend text me to invite me out for a birthday meal. But she lives a good half an hour away, and I'm very much not ready for longer drives at night yet. But just as I was pondering on this, she text again to say she's happy to come and collect me from my house and for me to stay over at hers and get a lift back the next day! How generous and sweet she is. She knew it would be an issue for me, so she stepped in to help.
I actually pick up my new car tomorrow afternoon. I am both excited and nervous, but I'm feeling ready to do it and to reclaim my normal routine.
I've spent this afternoon sorting out paperwork for the DVLA and my insurance company, which has been sort of therapeutic in its own way!
Even though I've got a big spend day coming tomorrow (got to pay the balance on the new car!!), I'm going to dip into my £2 coin pot and walk up to the garden centre with my book and get a coffee. If it's neutral on the debit card balance it's not too naughty... right...?Because it's fun to have money!

Awful day here with horrible pain in the healing leg which is radiating up to my thigh
I had to give in at 2pm and admit I needed the supersonic painkillers which I keep at home as I obviously can't drive if I've taken them (I can barely remember my name on them!
) got in half an hour ago to discover hubby has the heating on! Every bl**dy radiator in a four bed house and he's the only one in! That said I'm not too mad (for a start he pays that bill and it's in credit A LOT) and the warmth has really helped with the pain.
I'm now toasty warm, floating on a cloud of pain medication and finally catching up on 3 weeks of Downton
I'm also unfit to drive so won't be able to go out again and after several incidents resulting in large amounts added to the debt total over the summer there is a house rule about not using cards after taking painkillers so it's an early declaration of NSD 9 :j :j :j and crossing everything that I can hit double figures tomorrow
