and claiming number 14 for yesterday please!Must use my stash up!0

I didn't go out over the weekend at all and won't be going out today as I haven't got the car and also have parcels and tradesmen coming. So including today that will be NSD #11 & 12 - in total that is 12/15, which is my increased target at this rate I might even end up doubling my original target. This challenge is really motivating me not to spend so often or as much as part of the Grocery Challenge on OS board.

Oops. Fell off my money-saving wagon by getting takeaway on Thursday, needing milk on Friday and not being organised at all with shopping yesterday, meaning I need to go again today (AFTER I have menu-planned!!). I've been working 14-16 hour days for the past week (and it looks likely to continue this week) so everything fell apart a bit. Which is why I feel justified in posting this when at work, they owe me!
However, I can declare my 6th NSD for Saturday. Don't have enough days left in the month to make my 20 day target, but I'm beginning to think that's a bit too ambitious considering I'm a relatively new MSE-r. Will drop down to 10 next month and start upping it by 2 more days each month.Novuna personal finance 0% 4-year £518/£1866Credit card debt free! Now on the journey to mortgage free.0 -

Hi CharleyBear,
I'm not sure about how you change your user name but maybe for now we could just change what we call you, like Spoony ?strandedinaber wrote: »Oops. Hi Stranded, good plan, sometimes getting those NSD is tougher than you might expect.
As some may have noticed I've not been declaring since I lost count earlier this month, however I am keeping to my budget and will try again next month!
Off to sort the car insurance. Have a good dayDebt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

NSD11 banked for me yesterday!
I have had a bit of a spendy day today. After being stuck inside all weekend, I decided to get the bus into town first thing.
Had a McD's breakfast (a very guilty pleasure!), then over to Costas for a coffee and to finish off a very good library book.
"Would you like to pay with your reward points Madam?" Yes, yes I would. So, free coffee!
Swapped library books, then went to Boots for a couple of bits, "Would you like to pay with your points balance?" Yes, yes I would. So, free medicines! Nothing exciting, just Nytol and ibuprofen, which all get used eventually. But still!
Then went and treated myself to a magazine and choccie bar from Smiths with a Love2Shop voucher!
In all, a very inexpensive trip! Only actually paid for my breakfast and my bus ticket.
Figured, as I'm already having a spend day, I'd get on and order a few xmas gifts online now, rather than have a spend day later on.Because it's fun to have money!

No new nsds to report unfortunately, DH is in spending mode cos he can't go fishing again till March. The cold affects his heart trouble.
I came across a nice little blog about bento boxes, ( Japanese lunch box), that gives recipes and reviews. At the moment there's a give away of a set of posh lunch bags if anyone would like to look.
