Morning all,
Reporting in with NSD #1 for yesterday, a good start. I went out last night to a friend's, was umming and ahhing as I'd had a long and busy day. I did go in the end and very pleased to have gone too.
Hoping for one today, if I can keep focused at DS's club and not nip off to the coffee shop.
Have a great day everyoneCC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Charleybear, I'm glad you found out now that he wasn't the right one for you. It hurts but it will fade and you're free to enjoy yourself. Make the most of your freedom while you can. (((Hugs)))

I'm gonna allow myself one 'treat' per week (chocolate, a pudding, or super delicious but naughty/expensive cheese), but anything else that's not on the list will shove it into spendy territory. I'm also loving the 'scan while you shop' in my newly renovated Mr Ts. So much easier to make sure I'm not going over budget!
I love the new Scan As You Shop in Tescos as well! It doesn't seem to have had a huge uptake yet in my store (Northampton), so it's quick as anything. I can pack my bags in a way that makes sense to me and my kitchen, and I can get in and out in super speed without having to hang around for ages at a check-out! It's also a fantastic way to check what you are spending. Particularly if you've got one of those "spend £40, get £4 off" vouchers. You can almost do it to the penny for maximum savings.
I like your one treat a week idea... That might have to be something I adopt!Because it's fun to have money!

It's not a daft question but its entirely up to you. I wouldn't count it as a spend day as its money given to you to treat yourself. It's not like spending from a budget that you shouldn't be spending. But your rules have got to work for you.
Also if you count as a spend day would you be tempted to spend on other things. If you class it as a NSD then you might be less tempted to spend. If that makes sense.
Thanks for replying EverTheOptimist. I wasn't sure to be honest but that's cool. To be honest the fact it's over a month since my birthday and I've not spent it is a miracle in itself :rotfl:To be honest I'd only spend it on things I need so I probably wouldn't spend anything else as I'm definitely living by the mantra at the moment.
I've now got 3 NSDs and today will be number 4. Got to go for a medical at work in town tomorrow so that will be a SD but after that I think I can get to the weekend without spending anything. Especially as I'm trying to declutter so that may keep me busy and I may even find some treasures to list online.
I am going to go shopping on Thursday night but I'll be using birthday money to buy with if I find anything I like.
Good luck to everyone today.
