    A friend of mine when first living in Germany booked what she thought was a holiday to Hawaii , it was in fact Haiti lol

    Its like that woman in the paper today who thought she was on the plane to Granada but found out two hours into the flight that she was in fact on route to Greneda.

    Indeed, when the internet made it possible for people to book flights directly as opposed to through travel agents, I heard of a couple who thought they were going to Sydney Australia but had flights to Sydney Nova Scotia in Canada. In the winter, having packed for summer. They first became aware of a potential problem when they changed planes from a heavy into a small local service...

    Things to check-
    It's the hurricane season/rainy season
    The hotel in undergoing rebuilding work
    There are no direct flights left
    There's a crime problem there
    The price is per person not per room

    Obviously, read all tripadviser reviews from start to finish
    I wish you well but if it looks too good to be true..

    Oh and get someone else to double check dates- sometimes you can't see something for looking
