A suggestion about this years advents

I wonder if it will be an idea to split it this year, i'm thinking really due to the amount of rafflecopter comps we will likely get, it surely will be too much for 1 person to run/organise on their own?
My thoughts are
Someone runs an Advent Facebook board
Someone runs an Advent Twitter/Instagram board
Someone runs an Advent Rafflecopter board
Someone runs an Advent Web/Other board (so the few pinterest/google+ comps there may be)
It would mean people would be able to skip boards altogether so could save lots of time too?
I can't volunteer unfortunately, so it would mean 4 kind people would need to step up this year?
Any thoughts?

I have never previously done the advents, so I am not going to volunteer, but what you have suggested seems to be a great way to spread the load between different people. If it were all lumped together, nobody might volunteer at all. At least this way, people might be more willing to volunteer to do a small chunk of the work.0

i think that's a great idea. It's a lot of work for one person.
It will depend on posters putting ADVENT FB / ADVENT TW etc at the start of the title so they can be seen easily.
It'll also mean if you're short of time to comp for the day you can choose what to enter - twitter being the quickest.
I can't volunteer either due to commitments with family - it'll barely leave me time to comp!!Thanks to those that post the comps!!

Brilliant idea Mumto2boys
I am willing to do the Rafflecopter one as I'm mostly posting them anyway. Though I'm not sure how they will be done as we have never had Rafflecopter Advents on the forum before.
There is one blog that is going to have one prize every day all November 30 Prizes!
So perhaps we should set the threads up soon

Great idea because I think this year will be a record breaking year for the amount of advents.
The thought fills me with joy and dread equally
More than likely offer to help out with the Twitter ones0 -
Sorry a quick question
I can't remember where we put the Advent thread?
Is it on the main comp board as a sticky?
If so I will need to contact Glad as one RC starts 1st Nov

Thanks all for your comments and offers of help.
Hertzyabazas, filling with dread and joy equally I think sums it up brilliantly :T:T
Luckyone, last year if I remember correctly it was a sticky on the Main board, but I would suggest getting a definite decision about splitting it up before we start to arrange boards?
Everyone who has commented so far is in favour, I am sure as the day goes on there will be some who can come up with a better idea or reasons why this might not workStayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0 -
It's a good idea in principle, but it's what to do about the ones that overlap two or more threads due to being able to enter multiple ways?
Edited to add: If they end up in all threads then it will take longer to go through and people might dupe themselves if they don't remember entering, or if it will only be in one thread, say if it's got a web entry but also FB/TW then it goes in the web thread only as that takes precedence then it will need a LOT of communication between thread runners so might be even more time consuming?
It's a shame as it would be a great idea if they'd all fit neatly into one thread only, I just think it's probably unlikely that will happen.0 -

Posted on both threads maybe? So FB/TW entry would be on both boards as some people use one but not the other, maybe with a marker beside saying (also FB) for those who wanted to enter both ways?
I'm trying to think back to last year, i'm sure whoever did it last year split it up into sections but managed it themselves, I just have a feeling it's going to be crazy this year now that rafflecopter is so much more popular with comp hosts.StayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0 -
Also in favour as it is a mammoth task, I did suggest similar last year and ran a poll, and the masses wanted them seperate, there was a reason then why it couldn't be done will go and have a read through the thread to see what it was xx
