They have a stall in St George's and look to be opening up an online shop.

I hope they continue to do well. Definitively the best butchers I've tried.

St Georges would definitely suit more people, that's for sure. I've not gone down the online route for butchery myself yet, apart from haggis which I occasionally order in from a place in Ayr. That's a taboo I'll have to break.

Imagine getting your sausages and vegetable roll delivered to your door.

I assume it will be to selected areas until they get some exposure.

With the quality of their products it won't take long.

The stalls don't seem to do too bad.

Full marks on Scores on the Doors.
  • Also an excellent butcher in Magheralin. Turn down off main lurgan/moira road and its just past the big church.

Top quality meat. They have taken over from the original butchers that opened that shop a number of years ago.

Anything in particular that you'd recommend? Please don't tell me "duck". :rotfl:
  • lol No I am not a 'duck' person. I had a lovely bit of steak (for one) recommended by the helpful lad and some spicy beef sausages. The steak was delicious and a good price, although I cant remember exactly how much it was now.

I'm from Belfast way and was up in M'lin on other business, but stopped to have a look in the butchers and was impressed by the whole look of the small shop (clean and tidy).

If I am that way again I will definitely stop and get more meat there.

The duck reference was pointing to a song and poem about the village which used to be very well known. I personally can't think of Magheralin (or Maralin as it's sometimes called) without thinking of ducks.

I didn't know there was butchers up that way. Then again I've never had cause to go further than the village shop there and even then that was only for mystery shopping. Might be worthwhile taking a wee drive up there someday when I'm in the area.

The butchers in Magheralin is beside the village shop/post office on the Newforge Road and next to the church car park (handy free parking )

Ah yes. I know exactly where it is now. Thanks. I know the wee car park too. The wee village shop is a Centra and they're very friendly in it.
