I shop at Aldi because they only have one brand of pickle. Life's too short to spend it wandering down the pickle aisle comparing price and quality of 10,000 different pickle options.
  • Playing God for not stocking a product?

Op are you the person who creates headlines for The Daily Star?
  • I tried this afternoon but Tesco don't stock them either.
Dam! I suggest you do as the OP should and purchase from another retailer :)

McDonalds are boycotting Heinz, because the parent company of Burger King have bought Heinz.

    Oh the outrage!

Where do people get this half-digested nonsense from?

The truth is that McDonalds has dropped Heinz as its supplier of tomato ketchup because the former CEO of Burger King has been appointed CEO of Heinz.

Not quite the same thing, is it?

Tesco should not have a monopoly of the Baked Beans, and Ketchup market, the Branston products are far better tasting than Heinz or Tesco's own branded products

Firstly, they don't have a monopoly. You might might want to look up what that means.

Secondly, you think Branston products are better but others may well disagree. I expect quite a lot of people disagree. If there was profit in selling Branston beans and ketchup, tesco would be selling it. If there isn't then they won't.

Do you expect every supermarket to stock every available product line? Even those that don't sell/aren't profitable? Are you willing for the cost of your shopping to double to make up for the loses doing this would incur? I'm guessing not.

Lastly, if you consider not stocking your preferred brand of beans to be 'playing god' you really ought to give your head a shake and try to get your grip on reality back.

Top points for melodramatic post of the day I think!
Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!

One of many news sources saying the same thing, CEO is from Burger King and Burger King was recently acquired by 3G a consortium that owns Heinz.

Yeah if you're going to abuse people for ignorance it would be sensible to get your facts right!

Heinz is co-owned by the owners of Burger King. Which is why the BK chief executive has been appointed at Heinz.

On a side note I don't think mcdonalds have actually said this is why they are dropping Heinz. It's just a fact that is mentioned in all new stories about the decision.

Tesco isn't playing God, it's a very naughty boy.
