Tesco Playing God

I have no problem getting Branston products in my local Tesco, shame really as Branston beans taste awful and Branston are not a touch on the Heinz variety.

McDonalds are boycotting Heinz, because the parent company of Burger King have bought Heinz.

See, I completely disagree with this.

I hate Heinz beans..... to me they are thin, watery and sweet tasting, whereas the Branston beans have a lovely thick sauce and a much nicer flavour..

Good job we don't all like the same things though eh?

Tesco don't keep my favourite Sainsbury's coffee either.......................

Oh that's why I can't buy Branston baked beans from Tesco online? Why are they boycotting them?

My daughter insists they taste better than Heinz, but I can't tell the difference myself.

Just looked on Tesco.com and for the beans it syas its currently not available.

Just shop elsewhere.

You really need a sense of proportion.

This is normal supermarket behaviour. I hate the way supermarkets treat suppliers, if Tesco are currently not selling these products it could be anything from lack of customer demand, the supplier not giving enough discount or even expecting them to pay their bills on time. These are all reasons that supermarkets have delisted products in recent past. It's equally likely the manufacturer treats its suppliers in exactly the same way.

But to describe it as Tesco playing God...?

so a supermarket just like any other retailer has to stock items that may not sell.

If a certain brand of product does not sell well, then any retailer has the right to drop that brand in favour for a brand that sells.

They are not playing god, it is just business sense
