LOL if a neighbor said this to me I'd pi$$ my self in hysterical laughter.
rooneys sig is estimated to be worth £10.00 going on the many on fleabay and auction sites he did loads of them wich makes his sig next to worthless.
now, if he didn't do so many autographs it could have been worth thousends.0 -
Do you have a legal advice service with any of your insurance policies or a union? Give them a call and ask them.
I vaguely remember something about an expectation that dogs will behave territorially if something comes into their turf...
Bottom line though is that the neighbours failed to take due care of their valuable asset. Even knowing that a dog had access to your garden, they still failed to prevent the ball from entering your property... any reasonable person knows what happens when dog meets ball... civil proceedings will be based on these issues remember.:hello:0 -
We used to get balls over the fence quite regularly, the neighbours didn't even bother asking for them back if the dogs were outside at the time as it was a case of bye bye ball.
Agree with everyone else tell them to shove off!2 angels in heaven :A0 -
100% their fault. Do not even buy them a new ball.
When I was a kid, our neighbour had a ball destroying dog. My parents explained that we had to ask nicely for the ball back if it went over the fence, and if it got destroyed, then tough!
Your neighbour sounds a tw*t, so I'd deal with this nicely otherwise I might be worried about the dogs getting poisoned...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Give the ball back. If the neighbour makes any comments keep repeating "............" He'll quickly get bored of talking to himself..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
One thing I would say to be cautious of is a retaliation. If your dogs have access to the garden at any time with the dog flap, it would be quite easy for him to take his aggression out on them - perhaps another football, baited with nails, poisoned food, etc.
It sounds extreme but it does happen, and the dogs could be an easy target (especially as they were the ones "responsible" in his eyes).0 -
Tell them they are lucky the ball didn't smash a window.
It's their responsibility. Recently our dogs ball ( yes the dogs) went into our other neighbours garden and we forgot, when we rememebered he couldn't find it but we didn't mind... it was £20 ( its a hard boomer ball) it was our fault it landed in his garden and tbh we are just glad it didn't do any damage... anyways he found it behind his shed and we now have it back but the point is, if you put your posessions elsewhere then that's your fault, not whoevers garden they end up in.0 -
Our nextdoor neighbours dog killed our rabbit after the rabbit escaped from his hutch by digging a tunnel and ran under next doors fence. Whose fault was it? Ours of course for not making sure the rabbit was secure enough, tell your neighbour to sod off and buy his child another £5 ball.0

This is how a small domestic problem with neighbours gets out of control. We had a little issue with ours several years ago, and before that we were really good friends with each other. A simple dispute puts the knockers on that so now until either of you move you will be in constant conflict, either loud music, litter thrown in your garden, washing getting nicked off the line etc etc etc. We have not spoke to our neighbours for over 2 years now after a little dispute regarding one of their children. Families stick together and close ranks. This dispute while not your dogs fault will only escalate with tit for tat, believe me. I would never buy another terraced home, if we ever bought again it would be a detached then either side have no contact. Only 4 out of 10 of us get on with the neighbours anyway. But this is a typical example how a small dispute can effect your relationship. We do not really socialise in our back garden no more, only the odd BBQ in the summer because I cant be arsed seeing them in their garden for all the giggling and whispering.
I feel sorry for you, unless you can repair the relationship you will have further problems, only small but never the less pain in the !!!!.All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0
