Thx, I find the NOW TV live program guide poor. It only seems to show what is on now, perhaps I am missing something?

I think it is because Now TV is designed more for watching on catch-up and box sets they didn't want to confuse with a huge TV guide.

    You can always use http://www.tvguide.co.uk/
  • Now TV boxes are now £19 at Tesco direct, and include either 4 months Sky Movies or 6 months Sky Entertainment. The voucher inside each box alone retails at £30 at it's very cheapest.

Can't post the link as a new user, but search for nowTV on Tesco direct and it will come up.

As such, I've bought 5 boxes (3x movies and 2x entertainment) and essentially paid £95 for a year's Sky TV with Movies package.
You can have one account on up to 4 devices so, 1 box for the living room, 1 for the bedroom, and 3 boxes will go to the charity shop

On Ebay you always risk buying an expired voucher, though Now are reasonable currently.
I've never had one, so I'd say it is rare, at worst. If you ever did get an expired one, you could make a claim. EBay almost always sides with the buyer. (I know this from experience, where eBay has made me refund a buyer, even though I had categoric proof that his claim that I misdescribed the goods was false.)

You can get a nowtv box with a 6 month entertainment pass or 4 month movie pass for £19 in amazons black friday deals, as argos seem to be matching amazons BF deals where they can I checked their site.

Argos are doing the same deal :).

If you don't need the box you can remove the pass and usually flog them on ebay as they are or take out the free batteries and hdmi lead in the pack and send to recycling.

We have had now tv since this time last year when we got 2 boxes with 6 months of entertainment in each, so a year of box sets and sky channels for £40. We hadn't intended to get the movies, so just had the free trial at first, but have been offered retential deals and found codes elsewhere-mysamsung app quite often seem to have them and rarely paid more than £3 a month, currently on £1.66 a month.

NB the boxes at £19 are just the basic boxes, missile's offer as above is for the new smart boxes which also have a freeview type receiver in them, we don't need the freeview as well, but people can choose which option suits them best. Either way good time of year to buy, not seen a price close to this since last year.

Yes, I wanted the new box which streams freeview at 1080 and has pause rewind.

Apparently the new box is a bit more reliable?

Missile the new smart box has pause and rewind but only to the point you started watching.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
