  • Lethargy.

I don't know what to do. I have £60 in the bank to last me untill 3/10 (next definate income), I have ebay fees of £46 to pay, Virgin phone bill of £50 and friend person to give £20 to for photographing jewellery.

I don't know if I should cancel with the friend for now to put the £20 to something else, or go ahead with it in hope that it helps me make a few sales thus clearing ebay fees and making funds for the phone bill.

    Eugh.

  • Decided that £20 for good quality pictures for my ebay auctions was an investment. Here's and example of the results.
This is my poor attempt at photogaphing the cleopatra necklace I have up for sale:

This is the picture that was taken today, complete with watermark to stop picture theft on ebay :)

Not bad, eh? I'll be getting the other 14 pictures in the next day or so as he's working on them for me just now. Hopefully this will help boost sales when coupled with a decent auction template.

time for a cuppa, hope you're all well today :) xx

Hey, you're welcome. I sold a couple of things on ebay today - £3.69.........but as you would say, better in my pocket than theirs!

Good going on the ebay! You're certainly ploughing through the skiing fund challenge! :T

I've just found out that pretty much ALL AROUND me are elderberry trees, very fat with berries :D I'm going to take a big fat tupperware dish to my boyfriends house tomorow so I can collect some on the way out then home again. Might as well make use of them before they're really out of season :T

Hi JCD, I hope you are having a lovely weekend and manaing to do wonderful things with elderberries.

From the OS board a few weeks ago, I stole the idea of making fruit vodka.

fill a container half full with free berries you have picked from the hedgrows (I used blackberries) then top up the container with vodka and add a vanilla pod (I used tesco value), put a lid on it, then put in a cool dark place until Christmas.

It will end up as a lovely cheap home made present for someone once I have dressed the bottle with nice ribbons and stuff for christmas! Perhaps you could do the same with any berries you find around you?

  • hey mate, sounds like you're hanging in there! the fruit vodka thing is great - don't do it with crazy cheap vodka though as that stuff is disgusting!

raspberry vodka is great - and looks fab with the colours too!!!
