I dunno, I don't think I'd chance it if a bit of warmth was on my list

The best it's been on Christmas Day in the last 10 years is 19c the worst a rather chilly 1c
They get quite a bit of rain too
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
  • Thanks for your replies everyone. I think we've just narrowed it down to Egypt, so now going to spend a lovely morning looking online and planning to book today. Getting excited already.

Back when we were young and all "loved up" (before the bickering, pinching, biting and hair pulling started - and that was just me:eek::rotfl:), we went to Paris for four nights over Christmas and it was great.
It was very cold - the fountains off the Champs Elysees were frozen, but there was still enough to see, and the museums and restaurants were open, and we took a couple of cruises up the Seine.
We are thinking of going again when we can scrape some pennies together.

We go away every second year and its great, we find the new year celebrations abroad better than Christmas. We went to Egypt and did not find it warm enough, there always seemed a coldish wind blowing. What about other African countries, Gambia was good, Tanzania was fine but think about the injections you will need, they can be expensive. Unfortunately this year is a stay at home year.
