You'll probably be shaken for a day or 2 but if I were you I'd wait a few weeks for the dust to settle and go in a different store in disguise, do your hair different or wear a wig. A wig worked for me after I got banned from a nightclub for fighting ( a long time ago when I was young and stupid)I went back a month later and no one noticed.
It must have been a horrible experience.
I would complain to HO about how you were treated.
They should have treated you with respect and done things in a nice and professional manner instead of making you feel like, and treating you like, a criminal.
I would point out that you were not commiting fraud, you were just doing what their adverts tell you to do. If they do not want people to use more than £100 of vouchers per month, then they should have a better system for tracking it. You do not keep count of what you spend in their store, nor what vouchers you get. If they had a problem with what you were doing they should have been polite and taken you to one side and had a chat with you, asking you not to use the apg's anymore.
Also, ask them under a freedom of information request for all documents, written, electronic and media (photos, videos, email, notes etc) from their security team at HO, and from all three stores you visit. Whilst this seems an odd thign to do, they should send you any correspondence between stores, another copy of the form you signed and also any other notes they have made, which could include anything, and could well give you some ammunition to throw back at them. It is your legal right to have the info, and if they dont send you anything, then on what basis have they made the claim??
Be strong, kick !!! and shop elsewhere. The staff at some of these stores live and act like the store is their little world that they are the rulers (some may say little hitlers) of, and they sometimes need to be bought down a peg or two!
This is good advice. It's your right under human rights laws to see any reports, video or photographs they have of you. Keep your chin up and I'm sure this will all blow over after a while xx0 -

I know how you feel... I've been in the same situation, a little worse - involving poo and wine (no seriously) so I know exactly how you feel right now.
It will go away in a matter of days, trust me.
As for 'trespassing' You cannot be prosecuted for this.
The staff turnover is so high that they will have new ones by next week. Go in at the busiest times, security won't notice you.
That's exactly what I do. I play it cool with APG's keeping them as low as possible (only in my 'home' store).
Anyway, what you did wasn't wrong. Its immoral and morally wrong (not criminally wrong).
I would have asked them to call the police and say that they have assaulted you and insulted you in front of other customers. (That's if they did...or did they not use any force to take you into the room)?
In T's once, I was told I was comitting fraud with the DTD. This was at a very busy evening, by the front door. I raised my voice so the whole area could hear and asked "Are you seriously going to stand there and say "What you're doing is fraudulent, are you really accusing me of fraud"?" They soon backed down and asked me to leave. I refused and went on to the whole 'this is slander' more as a show than a threat to sue. I didn't have anything planned for the evening.
Most importantly is for you to chill out this evening, call them up tomorrow, cry down the phone if need be, email Customer Service, CC the CEO's office (google the email address) say how you felt intimidated, how aggressive he was in his voice how he accused you of being a criminal and committing fraud. Say how you didn't sleep and are now having nightmares and generally just scared.
Also say that they offered no evidence and that they also would not listen to you. Explain that you don't count the APG's you use.
You'll get a reply saying you're not banned and probably a gift card.
Also say that they ruined your VALID AGP0 -

Yoghurt_Queen wrote: »Yep. This is so true. I broke the rules. Simple. I have to take the ban. But I wonder if I could go to stores away from me for a year or so? Do you think they have face recognition in their stores?
I bought 52 cases of Cobra. It was too much to resist. My own fault, I got greedy.
A lot of us break the APG rules right left and centre - even my more modest 8 cases produced APG's totalling around £72. Add on the APG's for Lynx, S&g , cheese, biscuits, chocolates etc and I'm probably well over the limit. Other people with bean/pasta mountains are also clearly over their limit. Free/cheap shopping is just too good to pass up on - you weren't greedy, you just did a bit more of what lots of us do.
When Tesco banned people a while back I seem to remember that people went to other stores without any problems. I doubt if they have face recognition - although if they thought they'd spotted you they might look at the CCTV very closely and try to match you to earlier CCTV. But I don't reckon they could do that easily while you were instore and, if they couldn't be absolutely certain then they are unlikely to pounce on you. Imagine the scene if they grabbed the wrong customer. I think you would be safe so long as you are a fair way from your home store - I'm not suggesting a false nose or wig but maybe dark glasses and a hat would make you feel less obvious.
Don't beat yourself up - there are a lot of other people about who have done pretty much the same as you. You were just unlucky enough to get caught.ELITE 5:2
