I would say that As bought it on you. Their mess ups are so tempting that it is hard to resist.
Do you have a Ts, Ss, Ms or Ws near you to use as an alternative?
Why did you sign the form? I would have told them where to get off. Fine if they want to ban me, don't think I would have given them permission to do so though.
I much prefer my local Ts to As so don't care if As ban me. However, this is a good heads up for any newbies though. Don't do it if you think it might result in a ban, unless you have somewhere else you can do your shopping.
Is there another Elite near you who can help re. glitches?
The trouble with this is that the ban is nothing to do with an ASDA mess up - they aren't objecting to YQ taking advantage of the Snake glitch, they are objecting to the fact that she did it too many times and went well over her £100 per month allowance. Its very easy to forget about the £100 limit especially when we have all found a way round actually printing a limitless number.ELITE 5:2

If your being held and not allowed to move.. I suggest that is 999 and not 1010 -
I couldn't understand quite what their problem was but that clarifies it - I suspect that many of us would do well to learn from your very unfortunate experience. They don't care how much you spend - the problem is that the APG T&C's limit everyone to a maximum of 10 claims or £100 per month. 2 boxes of Cobra were giving an APG of £15 - £18.xx depending on when they were bought so it would only take around 6 visits buying 2 boxes each time to take you over the maximum allowance. It doesn't take much for Asda to suss that to get that much in vouchers, some jiggery pokery must have been going on with entering receipts/email addies/post codes etc. And I reckon that, if we are honest with ourselves, an awful lot of us have tendered over the limit recently. YQ may have pushed it to extremes but perhaps we should all take a close look at our APG histories cos some other people could well be well up on the radar.
Really sorry about what happened to you YQ but I'm not sure what your chances are of getting the ban cancelled. Tesco were renowned for similar goings on a while back and I actually got to the stage of looking into buying a few Tesco shares to give me a lever against any possible ban.
Yep. This is so true. I broke the rules. Simple. I have to take the ban. But I wonder if I could go to stores away from me for a year or so? Do you think they have face recognition in their stores?
I bought 52 cases of Cobra. It was too much to resist. My own fault, I got greedy.

I'm sure I'l be ok in a few days. But it was the shock. I felt like a shop lifter. Lots of people were staring, including hte staff who were all looking on.
I feel better having shared it on this board and getting some responses. Thanks.
It must have been a horrible experience.
I would complain to HO about how you were treated.
They should have treated you with respect and done things in a nice and professional manner instead of making you feel like, and treating you like, a criminal.
I would point out that you were not commiting fraud, you were just doing what their adverts tell you to do. If they do not want people to use more than £100 of vouchers per month, then they should have a better system for tracking it. You do not keep count of what you spend in their store, nor what vouchers you get. If they had a problem with what you were doing they should have been polite and taken you to one side and had a chat with you, asking you not to use the apg's anymore.
Also, ask them under a freedom of information request for all documents, written, electronic and media (photos, videos, email, notes etc) from their security team at HO, and from all three stores you visit. Whilst this seems an odd thign to do, they should send you any correspondence between stores, another copy of the form you signed and also any other notes they have made, which could include anything, and could well give you some ammunition to throw back at them. It is your legal right to have the info, and if they dont send you anything, then on what basis have they made the claim??
Be strong, kick !!! and shop elsewhere. The staff at some of these stores live and act like the store is their little world that they are the rulers (some may say little hitlers) of, and they sometimes need to be bought down a peg or two!0 -
