I couldn't understand quite what their problem was but that clarifies it - I suspect that many of us would do well to learn from your very unfortunate experience. They don't care how much you spend - the problem is that the APG T&C's limit everyone to a maximum of 10 claims or £100 per month. 2 boxes of Cobra were giving an APG of £15 - £18.xx depending on when they were bought so it would only take around 6 visits buying 2 boxes each time to take you over the maximum allowance. It doesn't take much for Asda to suss that to get that much in vouchers, some jiggery pokery must have been going on with entering receipts/email addies/post codes etc. And I reckon that, if we are honest with ourselves, an awful lot of us have tendered over the limit recently. YQ may have pushed it to extremes but perhaps we should all take a close look at our APG histories cos some other people could well be well up on the radar.
Really sorry about what happened to you YQ but I'm not sure what your chances are of getting the ban cancelled. Tesco were renowned for similar goings on a while back and I actually got to the stage of looking into buying a few Tesco shares to give me a lever against any possible ban.
I agree with the jiggery pokery, but when they had Ipads and Printers instore and would print your vouchers for you, the staff members would enter gobbledeegook and told me that "it didn't matter" what you entered. So we are only doing what their staff advised....0 -

They gave me my APGs back (the ones That i'd been trying to use), with two lines through them, saying void. And gave me my receipts back. With writing all over them saying void as well. But I never got my shopping.
It was pasta. and Fajitas. Two separate shops. Both Apgs' were 15.00 something, (from cobras) and they said that they could not understand why I'd got apgs over 15.00 as there is a cap on them. ( they don't even know the cap is lifted).
Unfortunately, they seem to have you firmly by the short and curlies. Its hard to put up much of an argument when you have over £30 of APG's in your hand. I think that if it was me in your situation I would just keep my head down for a while. I'm not sure I would bother with HQ - taking it up with them might well just get it all well documented without changing the ban. Also, don't mention the APG's that you still have to HQ or the store - they don't know you've got them at the moment so can't do anything about them. I know they can't cancel them in the same way that Tesco can cancel points etc but, if they know you have them they might keep a closer eye on your family. No point in helping them . Get your DH or a couple of friends to spend them for you and spread them about a bit between different stores.ELITE 5:2

But I know i've broken the rules. Its just wondering what sort of proof they might have/not have.
It musthave been awful for you. I can understand why you signed the form – anything justto get out of there.
As othershave said would you be able to say you did shopping for family/friends whowould agree to verify this? Also beforeyou e mail A’s head office, it may be worth asking citizen advice for theiradvice.
As A’s haveCCTV footage of you, did you ever shop with your husband, as if you did he mayalso be subjected to a similar experience if he tries to use your APG’s; if socould you ask a family member or good friend who you never shopped with to usethem for you.
It may alsobe worth you deleting any photographic evidence of any large quantities.

It must have been a horrible experience.
I would complain to HO about how you were treated.
They should have treated you with respect and done things in a nice and professional manner instead of making you feel like, and treating you like, a criminal.
I would point out that you were not commiting fraud, you were just doing what their adverts tell you to do. If they do not want people to use more than £100 of vouchers per month, then they should have a better system for tracking it. You do not keep count of what you spend in their store, nor what vouchers you get. If they had a problem with what you were doing they should have been polite and taken you to one side and had a chat with you, asking you not to use the apg's anymore.
Also, ask them under a freedom of information request for all documents, written, electronic and media (photos, videos, email, notes etc) from their security team at HO, and from all three stores you visit. Whilst this seems an odd thign to do, they should send you any correspondence between stores, another copy of the form you signed and also any other notes they have made, which could include anything, and could well give you some ammunition to throw back at them. It is your legal right to have the info, and if they dont send you anything, then on what basis have they made the claim??
Be strong, kick !!! and shop elsewhere. The staff at some of these stores live and act like the store is their little world that they are the rulers (some may say little hitlers) of, and they sometimes need to be bought down a peg or two!
What sound advice.

I'm reading this thinking about the home care team I used to manage. My staff were in and out of supermarkets several times a week for a number of clienst - what would S@d@ do in that case if they were using Apgs on each shop but shopping for individuals....not everyone can get out0 -
Think I would just lie low for a couple of weeks YQ - once the dust has settled stores will have other things to bother about. Christmas madness is nearly upon us
and maybe stores a bit further afield won't be quite so observant
